Botha School is thrilled to welcome Sheila Leys as the new Grade 3/4 teacher. Sheila brings a wealth of experience from her impressive teaching career in Alberta. She grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan and spent 26 years teaching in High Level, predominantly in Grade 5, before experiencing the unique challenges of a Grade 1/2 split class and teaching options for Grade 4. Most recently, she taught Grade 6 at Stettler Elementary. 

Sheila is excited about her new role and had this to say, "I am very excited to be joining the Botha School staff. I’m looking forward to getting to know the children and families in the community and becoming a part of the Botha family." 

 Sheila and her husband, Scot, have three adult children and two beloved dogs.

Together, they enjoy traveling, visiting their children, and going for walks with their pups. 

We are confident that Sheila’s dedication and enthusiasm will be a wonderful addition to the Botha community. Let’s give her a warm welcome as she embarks on this new journey!
