June Principals Message
Dear Families,
It’s hard to believe that June is already here! As we enter the final month of the school year, there’s a definite sense of excitement in the air—but if we’re being honest, there’s also a little bit of tiredness too. The days are longer, the schedules are full, and for many of us, sleep is a little shorter! Still, the energy and enthusiasm from our students continue to shine, and we’re looking forward to making the most of these final weeks together.
We have several exciting activities planned to help us finish the year on a high note:
Track Meets: All of our K–6 students will be participating in track and field events this month. These are great opportunities for students to stay active, encourage one another, and enjoy some time outdoors together.
Year End Trips: Classes will be heading to the Abbey Centre and Forestburg Pool for some fun in the water—as long as the weather cooperates. These outings are always a highlight and a nice way to celebrate a year of hard work.
National Indigenous Peoples Day: June 20: We look forward to recognizing and celebrating Indigenous history, culture, and contributions. This is an important day of learning and reflection for our students and staff. More information to come in the coming weeks.
Grade 6 PAT Exams: Our Grade 6 students will be writing their Provincial Achievement Tests this month. We’re proud of their efforts and know they will do their best. We’re cheering them on every step of the way!
As we approach the end of the school year, I want to take a moment to thank all of our families for your ongoing support. It has been a wonderful year of growth, learning, and community.
Wishing you all a wonderful June and a relaxing start to summer!
All the best,
Joy Corpataux
