May Principals Message

Dear Botha School Families,
May has arrived, bringing with it a sense of excitement and anticipation! The days are getting longer, the sun is shining a little brighter, and there’s a vibrant energy in the air as we head into the final stretch of the school year.
There are a few important events this month that I’d like to highlight:
First, our much-anticipated Grade 5/6 Camp is happening at the end of May! Students are eagerly counting down the days to this adventure, which will be packed with outdoor fun, team-building activities, and memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to hear all about their experiences and the new friendships they’ll form along the way.
Next, please mark your calendars for May 28, when our Grade 6 students will be writing their Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs). These assessments are an important milestone, and we know our students have been working hard to prepare. We’re proud of their efforts and are here to support them every step of the way.
And don’t forget—May 16 is a well-deserved long weekend! It’s a great opportunity to rest, recharge, and enjoy some quality time with family before we dive into the busy final weeks of the school year.
A quick reminder as well: Students are not permitted to use electronics during recess or in class. If your child brings an iPad or similar device for use on the bus, that’s absolutely fine—it just needs to stay safely stored in their locker during the school day. Thank you for your support in helping us maintain a focused and respectful learning environment!
Clearview has transitioned to SchoolEngage, a new online platform for student registration, permission forms, and more. All current families should have received an email with instructions on how to complete the online registration process for their child.
If you did not receive the email or are experiencing any difficulties, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office—we’re happy to help!
As always, thank you for your continued support of our students and school community. Let’s finish the year strong, stay positive, and make the most of all the meaningful moments May has to offer.
Wishing you a warm, sunny, and joy-filled month!
Warmly,
Joy Corpataux
